MEET CHARLENE
MY MISSON
I help second-generation immigrants, especially Filipino-Canadians, break cycles of intergenerational trauma by addressing the impact of their parents' migratory grief. Through culturally sensitive therapy and personal narrative, I aim to foster emotional resilience, healing, and meaningful family connections.
Mabuhay, ako si Charlene!
A Registered Professional Counsellor-Candidate specialising in migratory grief and intergenerational healing for the Filipino diaspora. Having experienced the challenges of navigating cultural identity and familial expectations firsthand, I’m passionate about helping second-generation immigrants understand how their parents’ unprocessed migratory grief shapes their lives.
Using a blend of Emotion-Focused and Narrative Therapy, I empower my clients to break cycles of intergenerational trauma, build emotional resilience, and foster meaningful family connections. My approach is creative, bold, and rooted in cultural pride, helping you find clarity, confidence, and healing in your unique journey.
As a first-generation immigrant, I’ve lived the complexities of balancing two worlds—honouring my parents’ sacrifices while forging my own identity.
I know how unprocessed migratory grief can ripple through generations, shaping how we see ourselves, connect with others, and carry our cultural roots.
This work is deeply personal to me. I’ve seen how addressing these hidden layers of grief can transform relationships and restore a sense of belonging.
I’m committed to helping others navigate these challenges, break free from cycles of intergenerational pain, and embrace their full, authentic selves.
